Overview

Applications for the position of School Psychologist at Maine Township High School District 207 are invited. Certification
  • Candidates must hold a Type 73 (School Service Personnel Certificate with a Psychologist Endorsement).
Personal and Professional Expectations
  • Successful full-time experience at the high school level preferred
  • Experience working with students of diverse economic and ethnic backgrounds
  • Successful experience in:
    • administering diagnostic tests to students
    • assessing student s abilities, learning styles, achievement levels, personality and emotional/social development
    • administering individual psychological assessments and evaluations to aid in the implementation of appropriate educational programs
    • participating in IEP meetings to aid in determining eligibility for Special Education services
    • writing psychological reports
    • providing crisis intervention services to students
    • helping parents recognize, understand, and plan for the needs of their children
    • providing therapeutic and psycho educational counseling to students both mainstream and Special Education
    • serving on the 504 Committee, Professional Learning Teams and other committees/teams serving the needs of students

  • Salary, benefits, and the work year are established in accordance with the current District 207 Collective Bargaining Agreement and Board of Education policies.
