This is a rare opportunity to step into a Controller role at the corporate headquarters in Park Ridge, IL, overseeing the Chicagoland division with $1B+ in annual sales
. You’ll work closely with the CFO (who has been with the company for 20+ years) and senior leadership in a company where finance truly has a seat at the table. The outgoing Controller is retiring after more than 5 years in the role and will provide a smooth transition for the right candidate.

- Lead the closing process and oversee financial operations for Chicago-based divisions, including poultry processing, further processing, cold storage, and the Park Ridge corporate office.
- Prepare and analyze monthly P&Ls, inventory, and cost of sales (~$25M in inventory).
- Supervise a team of 3 (A/R, A/P, Cash Receipts) and collaborate cross-functionally with Plant Managers, Payroll, and Corporate Accounting.
- Provide weekly P&L forecasts to the CFO and deliver reports across multiple stakeholders.
- Partner with external auditors and bankers on annual audits.
- Manage daily cash reconciliations and monthly ledger account reconciliations.
- Maintain fixed asset records for all company locations (annualized capex ~$125M).
- Contribute as a member of the corporate committee on group health insurance renewals, including preparing annual budgets for all locations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with strong cost accounting, inventory, and manufacturing/processing industry exposure preferred.
- Prior leadership experience with direct reports.
- Strong GAAP knowledge, attention to detail, and ability to work closely with operations and senior leadership.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills, with a proactive, hands-on approach.
