Salary Range: $45,000.00 To $50,000.00 Annually
Job Summary: This role supports the Credit department by performing administrative tasks, small-dollar collections, and credit card processing.
Job Duties:
- Processes credit card and “check by fax” payments
- Obtains credit applications and processes customer trade references
- Runs and prints D B and Credit Safe credit reports
- Scans credit applications and maintains orderly credit files
- Maintains customer “Short Pay Tracker” worksheet in Excel
- Sends statements to customers upon request
- Updates customer contact information in accounting software system
- Processes adjustments for small-dollar customer misc. deductions
- Performs light collections (small balance customers)
- Serves as primary backup to A/R Cash Application Specialist (posting payments to customer accounts)
- Maintains organized A/R record retention files according to Company guidelines
- Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must possess
Interpersonal skills - Ability to multi-task
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Must have organizational skills
- Ability to interact in a professional manner with employees and vendors/ customers
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Proficient in Excel and Word
- Willingness to work as a team member or independently
- Must be dedicated to continuous improvement
