LSSI is hiring a full-time Direct Support Person. Responsible for providing a clean and safe home for the residents and to perform direct care, give assistance to individuals in a residential program in accordance with the individual's personal plan.

- Monitor, implement and document individual personal goals and behavior programs.
- Provide residents with direct care assistance as required or identified.
- Provide accurate and current documentation relative to residents and their home.
- Commit to and actively participate in following all procedures identified by the supervisor.
- Actively assure that the living environment is kept clean and safe and completing special assigned duties.
- Accompany residents on community outings and participate in scheduled activities.
- Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, other LSSI workforce members, and collaborative organizations and/or individuals in a dignified, respectful, honest and fair manner.
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Background check clearance required.
- DSP Certification preferred.
- Must be able to pass the TABE test.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be available to work all shifts, including overnights and weekends.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent organization, presentation and pc/computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with other related software.
- Valid driver's license, in good standing for the state of residency required.
- Access to reliable transportation required.
- Valid IL statutory minimum liability insurance coverage, bodily injury and property damage required.
