DEPARTMENT: Rehabilitation
SCHEDULE: Flexible shift times starting between 7 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.
SUMMARYAssesses and restores patients' function, alleviates pain, and prevents disabilities by designing, planning, and implementing medically prescribed occupational therapy interventions. Provide superior customer service by modeling the Brand Promise and Core Values.
RESPONSIBILITIESEvaluation & Development. Perform a complete initial evaluation of referred patients using evaluation protocols, standardized tests, and clinical observations; develop and implement treatment plans, including short- and long-term goals and methods to achieve them; adjust treatment plan and goals as needed
Documentation & Communication. Maintain complete documentation of patient evaluation, treatment, progress, and discharge status; counsel and teach patients and families; coordinate care plans with other involved health professionals, and discuss changes in treatment programs with MDs
Employee Development. Assist with the supervision and guidance of new personnel, assistants, students, and volunteers as assigned; develop and conduct in-service training programs
Degree in Occupational Therapy, bachelor's, master's, masters or doctorate.
Current NYS Occupational Therapist License or limited permit as a Registered Occupational Therapist.
Prior Occupational Therapy experience preferred.
M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects;
Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
