Advocate Health Care - - Responsibilities:
Lifts and transports patients to and from wheelchairs, stretchers or beds, properly positioning and securing patient using proper body mechanics.;
Transports patients to their destinations and may transport other items such as patient belongings, specimens, carts, wheelchairs and equipment.;
Contacts clinical staff regarding changes in a patient's condition or issues with equipment during transport.;
Verifies patient identification and uses electronic software to track assignments (initiated, completed, delayed, or canceled).;
Disinfects and inspects transport equipment before and after use; maintains equipment and reports repairs; maintain confidentiality of patient information.
