Position: Clinical Nurse Supervisor - Full-Time (Park Ridge)

Clinical Care and Health Outcomes

  • Supports delivery of quality clinical care, aligning triage, telephone assessments, home therapies, and patient visits with established guidelines.
  • Assists the clinical team in meeting or exceeding Clinical Integration (CI) goals and managing patient registries.
  • Ensures staff adhere to timely and accurate documentation of all patient care services within AMG wide systems and regulatory standards.
  • Monitors staff compliance with standards of care, policies, procedures, HIPAA, and safety training/certifications.
  • Acts as a role model for a Culture of Safety, contributing to resolution of patient safety events and completing Action and Root Cause Analyses (ACAs/RCA).
  • Uses data to drive process changes and staff education.
  • Leads site clinical integration activities and maintains AMG standing operating procedures.
  • Responds promptly to emergency calls and leads emergency response actions.
  • Identifies, evaluates, and resolves potential safety problems, including equipment maintenance issues.
  • Ensures monthly office inspection checklists and required audits are completed on time.
  • Oversees approved site research activities.
  • Ensures timely management of EMR tasks, overdue orders, test result follow‑up, and other patient follow‑up.
  • Holds clinical staff accountable to AMG rooming standards.
Patient Satisfaction and Operations
  • Collaborates with manager, director, and physician leadership to maintain a patient‑centered environment, ensuring open access through same‑day appointments, referral coordination, test result reporting, positive patient comments, and meeting/exceeding Key Result Area (KRA) goals.
  • Monitors monthly data, reviews with clinical staff and physicians, and develops improvement plans to meet patient satisfaction targets.
  • Enforces adherence to AMG Service Standards, Behaviors of Excellence, AIDET, and MVP.
  • Evaluates and improves processes to reduce wait times, keep patients informed of delays, and manage message and appointment availability.
  • Conveys a professional image in compliance with AMG clothing, grooming, and identification tag requirements.
  • Owns patient complaints and applies Service Recovery principles when needed.
  • Creates a pleasant environment over the phone and in person, using scripted telephone standards.
  • Manages adequate clinical staffing by developing schedules and assignments as necessary.
  • Co‑coordinates managed care issues and nursing updates.
  • Engages staff in resolving identified operational issues and participates in team huddles.
Associate Engagement / Human Resources
  • Collaborates with the practice manager on associate‑related human resource functions to promote quality, development, and retention.
  • Provides leadership that motivates associates, recognizes good work, and achieves associate satisfaction targets.
  • Conducts regular staff meetings and daily huddles, documenting with the Stoplight Report.
  • Conducts timely performance reviews.
  • Models effective time management, problem‑solving, collaboration, and conflict resolution.
  • Ensures the manager is fully informed of key events impacting practice operations.
  • Provides ongoing performance feedback, coaching, mentoring, orientation, and required competency documentation.
  • Pursues opportunities for associate and personal leadership development.
  • Mandates that all associates maintain certification and required Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
Growth and Funding Our Future
  • Supports initiatives that drive practice growth and retention, in collaboration with physician leadership.
  • Participates in activities fostering growth, such as same‑day access and volume visit targets.
  • Maintains inventory control and medication supply processes.
  • Optimizes staff scheduling to reduce overtime, temporary staff use, and registry burdens.
  • Works with the site manager to achieve revenue and cost targets.
  • Maximizes team efficiency by deploying all team members effectively.
Physician / Provider Engagement
  • Supports an operationally efficient, physician‑friendly environment.
  • Assists with onboarding of new physicians/providers.
  • Rounds daily with physicians to review staff issues, resolve operational or clinical concerns, and solicit feedback on staff performance.
  • Engages physicians/providers in workflow improvement, EMR concerns, patient care and safety issues.
  • Reviews physician satisfaction results and collaborates with management to implement improvement plans.
Miscellaneous
  • Fulfills additional job‑related duties as directed by the manager or director.
  • Participates in meetings, committees, and projects.
  • Stays current with clinical standards through literature, education, and networking.
  • Engages in professional growth activities and maintains licensure.
  • Performs clinical duties as needed and other assigned tasks.
