Registered Nurse, Inpatient Behavioral Health (Park Ridge, IL)

Advocate Lutheran General Hospital – a 645‑bed non‑profit teaching hospital located in the Chicago suburb of Park Ridge, Illinois.

Adults with a wide range of diagnoses including depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and other psychiatric conditions. The role emphasizes teamwork, building therapeutic relationships with patients, and maintaining a high level of communication, hard work, and multitasking skills.

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in line with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Use evidence‑based practice and clinical decision‑making to create the safest patient environment and deliver the best patient experience across the continuum.
• Perform medication administration, care documentation, interdisciplinary team treatment planning, one‑to‑one patient communication, and advocate for patient needs.

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the clinician practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in psychiatric nursing (preferred).
• Certified in CPI deescalation (preferred).
