Key responsibilities of the RN – NICU
- Neonatal Intensive Care – Travel include:
- Provide care to neonatal patients, including those with respiratory, congenital, and cardiac conditions
- Manage trach, vents, chest tubes, and provide advanced respiratory support
- Administer critical drips and perform cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Float between NICU units and provide support where needed
Requirements of the RN – NICU
- Neonatal Intensive Care – Travel include:
- Illinois Nursing License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Minimum 2 years of Level III or IV NICU experience
- Experience with EPIC EMR system
