This position pays $26.04 per hour. 2nd Shift: Mon - Thu 5:00pm - 3:30am. Full-time, Heavy Driver.
Position OverviewWe’re looking for a full-time, Heavy Driver to join our team located in Parsons, Kansas.
Responsibilities- Checks truck for proper operating condition, recommends necessary repairs, and may make minor adjustments. May supervise a small crew of laborers.
- Performs necessary functions to receive, move, store and outship material in an efficient and safe manner. Responsible for onsite transportation of hazardous waste.
- Picks orders for line support and shipments. Check or count freight for accuracy and/or damage.
- Assembles various types of merchandise to be shipped.
- Performs necessary inventory functions and ensures accurate counts on storage items.
- Experience operating a semi with trailer and forklift safely.
- Knowledge of Security regulations (ATF, DSS, Homeland Security).
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong math skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- High School and/or equivalent.
- 3 years minimum experience.
- Forklift certification.
- Hazardous Materials Endorsement, Class A-CDL.
- Minimal reading comprehension 6th grade level required.
