Maintenance Director

Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Director to oversee the maintenance operations of our long-term care facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the facility and equipment are in good working condition and meet safety standards.

• Schedule and oversee regular maintenance and repairs of facilities and equipment
• Ensure Life Safety Code regulations are in compliance
• Ensure that fire protection and prevention programs are maintained by department personnel in accordance with our fire safety policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
• Develop and manage maintenance budgets
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and expenses
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations
• Identify and implement cost-saving measures
• Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs
• Ensure OSHA standards are met

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree, or certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management
• Previous maintenance experience in long term care facility, hospital, hotel, apartment, or office building preferred
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of safety regulations and standards
• Ability to develop and manage budgets
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and maintenance management software
