POSITION: Substitute Custodians

LOCATION: Various Buildings

HOURS: On-call, as needed. Hours vary.

SALARY: $19.17 per hour

NEW HIRES ARE CONDITIONAL UPON PASSING A FINGERPRINT SCREENING

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of building.
• Operates custodial equipment.
• Assist in district operations, maintenance and care of school buildings.
• Perform custodial duties indoors and/or outdoors as needed.
• Accept and carry out duties as assigned.
• Lift and move heavy objects up to 60 pounds unassisted.
• Assist in completion of duties from a ladder, heights, scissor lifts and/or Geni lifts.
• Provide exceptional customer service and responsiveness.
• Maintain good work attendance.
• Communicate professionally with staff, students, vendors and/or parents.

NON
- ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist other personnel as may be required to support them with the completion of their work activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent, required.
• Prior job-related experience preferred but not required.
• Valid Washington State Driver's License with a good driving record, required.

REQUIRED

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Kowledge of general custodian duties.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
• Physical ability to do heavy lifting, prolonged standing, squatting, bending, stooping, carrying and/or climbing ladders.
• Ability to communicate clearly, work effectively with students, staff and/or parents.
• Ability to work all shifts.
