The Meter Reader will accurately read and record commercial electrical, water, and gas meters for billing purposes using a smart phone (Android or iPhone). The meter locations are in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York. Schedule will be 30-40 hours for one week, monthly. Starting pay $25.00 per hour.

• Perform meter reads on commercial electrical, water, and gas. Will also perform re-reads when necessary.
• Take clear photos of meters.
• Notate and/or inform management of any issues or changes that occur.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, such as wearing Personal Protective Equipment and reporting all safety concerns.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

• Minimum High School Diploma, GED or technical background preferred.
• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record; ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Personal vehicle used for travel to different sites; mileage reimbursed at standard IRS rate (72.5 cents per mile as of January 1, 2026).
• Employees are required to provide and use a personal cell phone for work-related duties; cell phone expenses reimbursed per policy.
• Basic proficiency with smartphone applications and internet.
• Ability to read all types of meters.

• Frequently work near moving mechanical parts.
• Occasionally work in high, precarious places.
• Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• Occasionally lift and/or move more than 20 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Will need to work during all weather conditions.
• Necessary tools provided.

Estimated Salary Range: $25 per hour (Plus mileage and cell phone reimbursement per above details).
