JOB SUMMARY

Job Profile Summary

The Analyzer Technician I supports the operation and maintenance of analytical and measurement equipment under close supervision. This entry-level role focuses on learning safe work practices, assisting with routine testing, and gaining hands-on experience in the field and lab.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

* Follow established safety protocols and procedures to ensure safe operation in the analytical lab and field environments.

* Assist in routine sample collection and basic analytical testing under supervision.

* Support senior technicians in maintaining and calibrating analytical instruments and equipment.

* Participate in on-the-job training to build foundational knowledge of process units and analytical techniques.

* Shadow experienced technicians during field work and plant turnarounds to gain practical exposure.

* Assist in maintaining laboratory cleanliness, inventory, and organization.

* Document test results accurately and report any anomalies to supervisors.

* Learn and apply standard operating procedures (SOPs) for laboratory and field testing.

Education

* None Required.

Work Experience

* 0-2 years experience in the energy field working with measurement equipment.

* 0-2 years Gas/Liquid Chromatograph experience

* Experience and working knowledge of Sample Conditioning Systems, preferred

* Experience with Daniels, Siemens, and ABB gas chromatographs, preferred

* Experience with Spectra Sensors, preferred

* Experience in process operation or process control, preferred

Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities

* Ability to:
Follow basic laboratory safety protocols and procedures.

* Knowledge of: foundational analytical testing and sample handling.

* Ability to:
Operate standard lab equipment under supervision with attention to detail.

* Skills in:
Communicating effectively with team members and reports test results accurately.

* Ability to:
Learn and apply new technical skills through hands-on training.
