We are privately held American owned small business made up of five (5) vertically integrated manufacturing and assembly divisions, each with their own history, specializations and products.
We are looking for dependable, fast-paced, hard-working individuals with custodial experience with the following qualifications and experience:
JOB SUMMARYThe Health & Wellness Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment throughout the manufacturing facility. This role supports daily operations by ensuring work areas, restrooms, common spaces, and production floors are cleaned and maintained according to DCX-CHOL Enterprises standards. The Custodian also assists in basic facility upkeep, follows all safety guidelines, and helps identify maintenance or sanitation concerns.
This position is essential in promoting a hygienic and efficient workplace that meets both operational and regulatory requirements.
- Monday through Thursday (4-Day, 40-Hour Workweek)
- 6:00AM - 4:30PM
- Possible OT on Friday and/or Saturday as production demands require
- Read and follow all cleaning instructions, ensuring all containers are clearly marked with appropriate ingredients and labels.
- Perform daily cleaning of work areas, restrooms, breakrooms, offices, production floors, and other assigned spaces to maintain a safe and sanitary environment.
- Seek opportunities to incorporate cost-saving measures and streamline cleaning processes.
- Carry out deep-cleaning initiatives throughout the facility, including common-area tables, breakroom tables, time clocks, light switches, toilets, office equipment, sinks, kitchen appliances, hand railings, door handles, entrances, and other high-touch surfaces.
- Request, maintain, and stock appropriate and effective cleaning supplies accurately and in a timely manner.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines by keeping work areas clean, organized, and wearing required protective clothing.
- Safely handle the disposal and shredding of confidential documents to ensure protected information is properly destroyed.
- Enforce DCX-CHOL Enterprises policies and safety practices consistently.
- Assist with cleaning exterior areas of the facility and perform light maintenance tasks as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- 2+ years' experience in cleaning / maintenance.
- High degree of professionalism and confidentiality
- May be required to work outside of normal work hours
- Pro-active and self-motivated attitude with the ability to multitask and work independently
- Competent in the daily tasks to meet their job duties.
The custodian works within a fast-paced manufacturing facility that includes production areas, offices, breakrooms, restrooms, and outdoor grounds. The environment may involve exposure to noise, dust, chemical cleaning agents, and varying temperatures depending on the area of the facility. The role requires frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting while performing cleaning and light maintenance tasks. Custodians collaborate with production staff, supervisors, and maintenance personnel to ensure all areas remain clean, safe, and compliant with company standards.
Proper protective equipment is provided and required to maintain safety while performing job duties.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. These demands include but are not limited to: good mobility; the ability to move between both facilities and throughout all areas within them; the ability to stand and walk for extended periods; and the ability to routinely bend, lift, and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
The employee must also be physically able to climb ladders as required.
