Job Position Description

This position is responsible for creating cleaner and healthier environments for our customers’ buildings and grounds by performing the essential duties described below. Other duties may be assigned.

• Perform cleaning duties for facilities using provided Service Master products, tools and procedures.
• Cleaning duties include sweeping, mopping, polishing, trash removal, window cleaning, and moving furniture and equipment, etc.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Use proper PPE where required.
• Open and lock facilities, enable and disable security systems as required.
• 1–2 years’ experience as a custodian, janitor, or housekeeper is a plus but not required.
• Will provide on-the-job training to those with strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Experience with professional janitorial services, office complexes, hotels, hospitals or schools is a plus.
• Ability to be flexible, work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment is a must.
• Contribute to a positive work climate with a pleasant attitude and assist the team, including being in uniform, dependable, and on time.
• Respect and understanding for co-workers and customers.
• Must be able to communicate in English.

• Constant standing, walking, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching overhead and forward; must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to read cleaning instructions.
• Ability to differentiate between cleaning products and their uses.
