Operations Specialist - Wyalusing

Overview

The Operations Specialist position is based out of Kinder Morgan’s Tennessee Gas Pipeline, LLC (TGP) Wyalusing facility located on Turkey Path Road, Wyalusing, PA. • Maintain and contribute to the safe operation of Company assets
• Train and qualify to complete relevant DOT covered tasks
• Start, stop and operate centrifugal engine driven natural gas compressors to maintain designated operating parameters and meet customer demands
• Complete general upkeep, housekeeping and maintenance of all facilities and equipment, including remote locations
• Identify facility and equipment malfunctions and take immediate corrective action when safe to repair
• Follow developed job procedures, site specific work plans and O&M policy
• Identify areas for procedural improvements
• Ensure cost effective operation and efficient performance of all engines and associated equipment
• Continuously review facility operations and adjust for optimization
• Assist with pipeline maintenance and project related activity including pigging, ILI, recoating, atmospheric painting, etc.
• Complete detailed reports and documentation for record keeping
• Maintenance and repair facility equipment (e.g. fork lifts, pneumatic pumps, air compressors, coolers, generators, motor control centers, etc.)
• Contribute to creating, planning, forecasting and managing the district’s budgets
• Communicate effectively and respectfully with work group, service providers and larger audiences
• Assist with one-call locates and pipeline damage prevention activities
• Must be able respond to, and address, callouts and emergencies immediately during and after regular business hours including overnight
• Will require minimal out of town travel (1 week per year)

• Experience as an experienced Line Patroller, Pipeline Field Man, Natural Gas Operations Technician, Railway Engineer, Quality Tech, Corrosion Technician, Gas Mechanic, Turbine Mechanic, Controls Technician, or similar
• Ability to respond to callouts and emergencies immediately during and after regular business hours including overnight
• Willingness to travel on occasion (approximately 1 week per year)
