Custodian

The Custodian position is responsible for the cleanliness of the companies facilities in both the manufacturing and office areas of the facility.

Key Result Accountabilities

• Responsible for general cleaning of buildings, locker rooms, restrooms, including buffing, dusting, cleaning vents, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash, and washing windows
• Carry out heavy deep cleaning tasks and special projects
• Stock and maintain cleaning supplies
• Assists other departments as requested, including moving furniture and equipment and unloading and storing supplies
• Responds promptly to facility needs; responds to requests for service and assistance; meets commitments
• Adheres to safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions or maintenance issues ; uses equipment and materials properly
• Reviews cleaning supply inventory
• Completes all other job duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Previous custodial or janitorial experience in an industrial or office setting is a plus
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Ability to handle equipment used for cleaning
• Ability to follow work instructions from supervisor
• Must pay attention to detail
• Must be able to work rotating shifts

High School or better.
