Position: Maintenance Worker, Full-Time
Location: Lehighton

Behavioral Health Associates (BHA) is an educational organization. We offer an academic learning environment integrated with behavior support services for students diagnosed with emotional/behavioral disorders to empower the students in overcoming challenges and creating new stories in their lives.

We currently have an opening for a full-time, year-round Maintenance Worker.

POSITION GOAL

This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing school facilities to ensure a safe, clean, and functional learning environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
  • Conduct routine inspections of the buildings and grounds, report any issues to the supervisor.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment, supplies, building structure, building grounds, etc.
  • Respond to all maintenance requests in a timely manner and efficiently.
  • Perform year-round maintenance, such as mowing lawns, snow removal, etc.
  • Research and gather products needed to complete tasks.
  • Assist other staff when needed, including custodial staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by administration.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License, required.
  • Job related experience, preferred.
  • Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing.
  • Knowledge and ability to utilize hand tools and power tools.
  • Troubleshoot complex problems and implement solutions.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, and plumbing, preferred.
  • Ability to use small office equipment and computers.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
