Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to join our Custodial/Maintenance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all staff, visitors, and clients. This full-time position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing various areas such as offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of custodial supplies and equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify cleaning needs and report any maintenance issues to the supervisor.
• Ensure that all cleaning materials and chemicals are used safely and according to established guidelines.
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of events, including moving furniture and setting up equipment as needed.
• Respond promptly to cleaning requests and emergencies, ensuring a quick resolution to maintain a clean environment.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all staff and visitors.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities and inventory of supplies.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous custodial or janitorial experience is a plus but not required.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies, as well as safety protocols.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and pressure washers.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, bend, and stand for extended periods.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork and customer service.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary.
