Custodian

Cumberland Valley School District is hiring for a Custodian I position to work 8 hours per day (3:00 PM‑11:00 PM).

Responsibilities

The role involves maintaining the physical school plant, ensuring clean sanitary conditions, and keeping grounds neat and well‑trimmed. The essential functions require the employee to adapt to changing conditions, cooperate with a team, act as a self‑starter and self‑motivated individual, communicate effectively in English orally and in writing, use basic arithmetic, practice safety awareness and procedures, help maintain a clean safe environment, keep minimal records to meet school and regulatory requirements, and respect the rights of co‑workers, staff, and students.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent is required; previous custodial experience is preferred. Applicants must have corrected hearing or vision within normal ranges.

Pre‑Employment Requirements

• Criminal Record Check (less than one year old)
• PA Child Abuse History Clearance (less than one year old)
• FBI Finger Print Clearance (less than one year old)
• TB Test/Mantoux (less than 3 months old)
• Physical - if applicable (less than 1 year old)
