Temporary Boiler Maintenance

Job Overview

The Building People, LLC has a position open for a temporary full‑time Boiler Maintenance on the first shift Saturday – Sunday between December 1st and March 31st. The boiler maintenance will be responsible for maintaining, testing, modifying, adjusting, and repairing boilers and associated equipment. The role requires operating the boilers, maintaining steam pressures, water temperatures, and levels at all times, and servicing all piping, electrical, and control systems.

The employee will make all necessary repairs and adjustments to boiler and chiller equipment to correct reported or identified deficiencies and to maintain required operations in accordance with equipment specifications and manufacturer instructions.

• Record operating conditions of systems daily
• Repair and replace components
• Clean nozzles and oil filters
• Repack valves
• Grease and oil motors and other equipment
• Perform general housekeeping of equipment and spaces
• Check and maintain motors
• Check and clean traps
• Adjust controls for safe and economic operation

• Clear background investigation
• Clear driver’s license and reliable transportation
• High level of boiler maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair
• Documentation completion and filing
• Customer service skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and familiar with CMMS
• Excellent organizational skills

• Experience and knowledge in a variety of boiler systems and components
• Salary commensurate with experience, qualifications, and certifications
• Background screening and clearance may be required directly from the government
