Responsibilities
As a Housekeeper you will uphold a conscientious, thorough, self-motivated day‑to‑day mindset. You are responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy patient care environment that will surely evoke smiles and thanks from patients and staff alike. In order to uphold a sanitary, safe and risk‑free environment you will work within OSHA regulations. You will also be responsible for responding to ad‑hoc requests in a timely manner and initiating communication by walkie‑talkies.
- Maintain assigned areas such as, but not limited to: patient rooms, common area’s on and off the units, waiting areas, hallways and business offices
- Clean and maintain carts and equipment used, replenishing supplies, collecting waste, sanitizing garbage receptacles
- Disinfect rooms, furniture, equipment and supplies, using appropriate processes and germicides for cleaning equipment
- Perform other Housekeeping duties, turn mattresses, clean unit/department kitchenettes, sweep, mop as needed
- Work efficiently and effectively under little supervision

- This position comes with an additional shift differential of $2.00 for weekend shifts

- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1 year of hospital or hotel environmental service techniques, practices and procedures experience preferred
- Working knowledge of risk and safety precautions
- Ability to prioritize and organize daily workloads to meet deadlines
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Sensitivity and awareness of diverse groups of employees and patients
- Maintain confidentiality
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, pull, push, kneel and stoop throughout shift; must be able to lift at most 30lbs on own
