Overview
Horsham Center for Jewish Life is a 324-bed long-term care community committed to providing a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for residents, visitors, and staff. We are seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance Department.
This is a full-time position that requires working one weekend day each week. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance throughout the facility. The ideal candidate has experience in general building maintenance and is committed to maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the facility.
- Complete preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment.
- Assist with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and minor HVAC repairs.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs.
- Conduct routine safety inspections and identify maintenance concerns.
- Maintain the facility grounds and exterior areas as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, fire, and infection control regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Previous maintenance experience required; healthcare or long-term care experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs independently.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable attendance and flexibility to work one weekend day each week.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and perform physical work throughout the shift.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors as needed.
