Department: 815-Cabrini Custodial Services
Under the moderate direction of a supervisor, performs general cleaning duties within dormitory, office, and other public facilities areas.
Duties and Responsibilities- Pick up and dispose of trash, including proper handling of recyclable materials.
- Dust, sweep, dry mop, wet mop, and spot mop as needed.
- Operate walk‑behind or ride‑on floor machine, wet vac, and carpet extractor.
- Clean all glass inside reachable areas, entrance glass, and doors.
- Sanitize washrooms, showers, and toilet facilities (dormitories only) and fill all dispensers.
- Vacuum and clean carpets and walk‑off mats.
- Wash walls, woodwork, light fixtures, inside windows, and other glass.
- Remove snow and ice and pick up debris such as leaves and paper around entrances and fire exits, including fire escapes for dormitories, from steps and walkways generally within ten feet of buildings.
- Report immediate supervisor or work control regarding damage or malfunction of equipment observed within the assigned areas.
- Perform other duties assigned within the normal scope of the department’s responsibilities and the individual’s capabilities.
- Ability to follow both verbal and written directions.
- Ability to interact with customers (students, faculty, administration), co‑workers, and supervisors in a positive and helpful manner.
- Must be able to climb ladders, bend, reach, and lift up to 60 lbs.

Sunday – Thursday
Salary Posting Information: $19.97/hr.
