Custodian Mid shift/2nd shift

Under the moderate direction of a supervisor, performs general cleaning duties within dormitory, office, and other public facilities areas.

• Mid Shift: 2:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
• Schedule:
  
  Sun. – Thurs.

• Pick up and dispose of trash, including proper handling of recyclable materials.
• Dust, sweep, and/or dry mop.
• Wet mop and/or spot mop.
• Operate walk‑behind or ride‑on floor machine, wet vac, and carpet extractor.
• Cleans glass: all inside areas that can be safely reached.
• All entrance glass, including doors, inside and out.
• Sanitizes washrooms, showers, and toilet facilities (dormitories only).
• Fills all dispensers in restrooms.
• Vacuums and cleans carpets and walk‑off mats.
• Washes walls, woodwork, light fixtures, inside of windows, and other glass.
• Removes snow and ice and cleans and/or picks up debris, such as leaves and paper, around entrances and fire exits from the steps and walkways (generally within ten feet or less) leading to buildings.
• Reports to immediate supervisor or work control about damage and/or malfunction of equipment observed within assigned areas.
• Performs other duties assigned within the normal scope of the department’s responsibilities and the individual’s capabilities.

• Ability to follow both verbal and written directions.
• Ability to interact with customers (students, faculty, administration), co‑workers, and supervisors in a positive and helpful manner.
• Must be able to climb ladders, bend and reach, and lift (up to 60 lbs).

$21.47 per hour ($19.97 base + $1.50 shift differential)
