Corrections Facility Maintenance Manager 1

• Daily Operations:
  Plan and coordinate routine operations for maintenance and trades tasks.
• Staff Development:
  Provide direction, training, and review of staff and inmate worker performance.
• Record Keeping:
  Maintain essential reports, inventories, and personnel records in line with facility standards.
• Safety Assurance:
  Inspect work areas and equipment to meet safety rules and respond to emergencies.
• Asset Control:
  Monitor tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure security and proper use.

• Background:
  Managerial level with core domain knowledge in the construction, maintenance, or repair of buildings, or the operation, maintenance, and repair of utility services equipment.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a Building Maintenance Foreman, Utility Plant Supervisor, or Corrections Tradesman Instructor, with a specialty in one of Carpentry, Electrical, Refrigeration, Plumbing, Sheet Metal, Machinist, Welding, Painting, Automotive, Electronics, or Masonry; OR
  • Six years of experience in the construction, maintenance, or repair of buildings, or the operation, maintenance, and repair of utility services equipment, including two years in a managerial or supervisory capacity; OR
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
