Housekeeping Assistant

• Full Time 72 hours bi-weekly
• 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday, 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM Tuesday through Thursday.
• Full Benefits package

Provide cleaning services including vacuuming, dusting, sweeping and mopping floors, washing windows and other duties as assigned.

• Clean Resident Bedrooms and bathrooms as assigned.
• Clean common areas and offices as assigned.
• Collect and dispose of trash.
• Report any repairs or concerns to the Director of Facilities.
• Complete tasks according to the Quality Assurance checklists and document.
• Read the communication log prior to each shift and communicate within the Housekeeping Department at the end of each shift, as needed.
• Be familiar with and abide by the WMH policies and procedures.
• Participate on the Safety Committee as assigned.

• Ability to read, write and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
• Ability to patiently, tactfully and enthusiastically deal with personnel, residents, family members, etc., to all types of situations.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Ability to relate information concerning a resident's condition.
• Ability to learn new methods and willingly incorporate them into existing practices.
• Ability to complete tasks assigned for each shift and document on the daily shift check list.
