THE POSITION
Are you ready to begin a hands-on role as a Custodial Worker 1 with the Department of Human Services? This position at Clarks Summit State Hospital gives you the chance to help maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. DESCRIPTIONOF WORK
- Cleaning Tasks:
Wash floors, dust furniture, clean restrooms, and remove snow from entrance areas - Equipment Use:
Operate floor care tools and perform minor maintenance and repair on cleaning equipment - Supply Transport:
Move supplies, equipment, linen, and carts to designated areas - Safety Practices:
Use chemicals properly, follow safety procedures, and report hazardous conditions - Instructions Followed:
Read and follow written and oral directions for cleaning tasks and equipment use - Area Monitoring:
Check assigned areas for cleanliness and determine what must be addressed
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Your schedule may change based on operational needs.
