Job :164 # of Openings:1 Maintenance and Facilities Supervisor Position Summary The Maintenance and Facilities Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, safety, and overall operation of the company’s buildings, equipment, utilities, and facility systems. This position supervises maintenance personnel, coordinates preventive and corrective maintenance activities, manages outside contractors, and ensures the facility remains safe, clean, efficient, and operational.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
Essential Responsibilities- Maintenance & Facility Operations
- Supervise daily maintenance and facilities activities to ensure efficient operation of the facility. Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules for machinery, equipment, building systems, and utilities.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and facility emergencies and coordinate timely repairs.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other facility-related issues.
- Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems regularly to identify maintenance needs and potential safety hazards.
- Coordinate repairs, renovations, installations, and facility improvement projects.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and equipment history.
- Ensure tools, equipment, spare parts, and maintenance supplies are properly maintained and inventoried.
- Lead, schedule, train, and evaluate maintenance and facilities employees.
- Assign daily work and prioritize maintenance requests based on operational needs.
- Provide technical guidance and hands-on assistance to maintenance personnel.
- Promote accountability, teamwork, productivity, and professional conduct.
- Ensure employees follow established safety procedures and company policies.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of maintenance personnel.
- Maintain a safe and compliant working environment throughout the facility.
- Conduct routine facility inspections and address identified hazards promptly.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements, fire and life-safety regulations, environmental requirements, and applicable building codes.
- Coordinate inspections and required maintenance of fire protection, emergency systems, electrical systems, and other regulated equipment.
- Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and ensure appropriate handling and storage of chemicals and hazardous materials.
- Investigate maintenance-related incidents and recommend corrective actions.
- Manage outside contractors, service providers, and vendors performing work at the facility.
- Obtain and review estimates and proposals for maintenance and facility projects.
- Schedule contractors and monitor work to ensure quality, timeliness, and adherence to specifications.
- Verify that contractors follow company safety requirements and provide appropriate insurance and documentation.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with key vendors and service providers.
- Assist with preparation and management of the maintenance and facilities budget.
- Monitor maintenance expenses and identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising safety or reliability.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels of parts, tools, supplies, and critical spare components.
- Review invoices and verify that completed work and charges are accurate.
- Recommend capital improvements and equipment replacements when appropriate.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred.
- 3–5 years of maintenance, facilities, manufacturing, or industrial experience.
