Utility Worker

This position is responsible for maintaining product flow and relieving team members online for breaks and filling in during labor shortages while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Pay rate: $20.45/hour

Tasks:

The position of the utility in maintenance is to support the daily activities of the maintenance department in the delivery and picking up of maintenance parts, in addition to assuring that surrounding areas are clean. The utility person drives to outside vendors to pick up or deliver maintenance parts. Assures outside grounds work is done, including mowing, weeding in the summer, and shoveling snow in winter.

Paints areas of the plant and outside. Replaces tank wheels and repairs carts. Assists parts room in the inventory. Maintains the maintenance shop clean and free of clutter. All other duties as assigned.

Must have a valid driver's license. Must have the ability to communicate clearly with outside vendors. Willingness to get Power Industrial Truck certified. Should have basic knowledge of hand tools. Willingness to lift 40 to 50 pounds.

Rehire Consideration:

• Max of two previous Tyson employments to be considered for hire.
• 180 days (6 months) waiting period.
