Janitorial Custodian

The Janitorial Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment throughout the Company's facilities and surrounding grounds. This position performs routine cleaning, janitorial, and basic grounds maintenance duties across multiple buildings and locations, including offices, restrooms, break areas, common areas, manufacturing spaces, sidewalks, parking areas, and outdoor areas. The Custodian will help ensure Company facilities and grounds are properly maintained and presentable for employees, customers, vendors, and visitors.

Reports to the Corporate Facilities Manager.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Clean and maintain offices, restrooms, break rooms, common areas, conference rooms, and other assigned areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and clean floors and other surfaces throughout Company facilities.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, sinks, toilets, fixtures, and other high-use areas.
• Empty trash and recycling containers and ensure waste is properly disposed of.
• Restock restroom, break room, and janitorial supplies as needed.
• Clean windows, doors, glass surfaces, and other areas as needed.
• Perform basic grounds maintenance, including mowing, trimming, weeding, leaf removal, and general seasonal cleanup as needed.
• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of sidewalks, entrances, parking areas, and other exterior areas surrounding Company facilities.
• Maintain cleanliness of manufacturing and warehouse areas while following applicable safety requirements.
• Monitor assigned facilities for cleanliness, safety concerns, damage, or maintenance issues and report concerns to the Facilities Manager.
• Assist with minor building and facility upkeep as needed, within the scope of the position.
• Maintain and organize janitorial supplies, equipment, and storage areas.
• Follow proper procedures for the safe use, storage, and handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Assist with preparing facilities for meetings, events, customer visits, and other Company activities.
• Travel between Company facilities as needed to complete assigned cleaning and maintenance responsibilities.
• Perform other related duties and assignments as directed by management.

Requirements:

• Previous janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or facility maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to operate common cleaning equipment and safely use cleaning products and chemicals.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
• Ability to work independently and manage assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, vendors, and visitors.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required if traveling between Company facilities.
• Ability to follow safety procedures, Company policies, and instructions.
