DESCRIPTIONOF WORK
This position helps design, build, and finish custom furniture, shelving, and other items used across agency stores and offices. It supports safe operations and high-quality craftsmanship while contributing to emergency response when needed. As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Design Support:
Interpret conceptual drawings, revise sketches, and provide input on materials and construction methods - Project Planning:
Offer guidance on sequencing work, estimating needs, and selecting approaches that improve quality and efficiency - Construction Work:
Use woodworking tools, measuring devices, and multiple trade skills to build and finish custom items - Material Layout:
Plan cuts and layouts to reduce waste and ensure accurate, attractive results - Shop Safety:
Maintain tools, organize materials, and follow safety practices to support a safe work environment - Emergency Response:
Assist with urgent repairs caused by weather or operational issues to secure facilities

Work Schedule and Additional Information:- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

- Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
- This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code.
