Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Engineer to ensure the reliability and efficiency of fixed assets. This role involves overseeing internal and external service providers to install, repair, and maintain equipment, ensuring they operate at peak performance. The successful candidate will manage inventory of spare parts, monitor equipment conditions, and foster skill development in maintenance teams, aiming to extend the useful life of all assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain optimal stock levels of spare parts to ensure readiness for repairs and maintenance.
  • Coordinate and manage periodic repairs to counteract natural wear and tear on equipment.
  • Maintain effective communication with suppliers and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), both locally and internationally.
  • Keep all technical documentation, such as blueprints, manuals, and maintenance plans, up to date.
  • Analyze equipment deviations such as breakdowns and reductions in operational efficiency.
  • Prepare and process purchase requests with precise specifications, supporting procurement processes and tracking deliveries.
  • Handle claims related to defects and failures with suppliers and OEMs.
  • Facilitate visits for commercial representatives at the facility.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance processes.
  • Develop technical skills for new and probationary team members.
  • Interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately.
  • Manage predictive and preventive maintenance strategies to improve key performance indicators.
  • Utilize maintenance software for planning, scheduling, documenting, and managing work orders.
  • Maintain precise records to safeguard products, materials, and information.
  • Audit and monitor maintenance programs to ensure reliability.
  • Communicate effectively with management on preventive maintenance requirements and progress.
  • Perform additional tasks aligned with the role as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in maintenance planning, inventory management, or a related area.
  • Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic equipment parts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience with SAP is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
