Building & Grounds Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a dependable and self-motivated Building & Grounds Maintenance Technician for a full-time 3rd shift opportunity in Fairview, PA. This position is primarily responsible for maintaining the building, facility, and surrounding grounds to help provide a clean, safe, and functional manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on facilities position involving general building maintenance, preventive maintenance, cleaning, filter replacement, grounds upkeep, snow removal, and basic repairs throughout the facility.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, takes pride in maintaining a facility, and is comfortable working independently during 3rd shift. This position focuses on building and grounds maintenance rather than production-machine maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general building and facility maintenance throughout the property
• Inspect the building and grounds for maintenance, safety, or repair concerns
• Complete assigned preventive maintenance tasks
• Replace HVAC, ventilation, machine-area, and facility filters as required
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining coolant tanks and designated production areas
• Perform basic plumbing repairs and maintenance
• Perform minor electrical repairs within authorized responsibilities
• Complete basic carpentry and general facility repairs
• Maintain doors, fixtures, lighting, and other building components as assigned
• Maintain production, warehouse, office, restroom, and common areas as required
• Operate floor scrubbers, pressure washers, and other facility-maintenance equipment
• Remove trash and debris from designated areas
• Maintain exterior areas surrounding the facility
• Perform seasonal grounds maintenance and basic landscaping duties
• Assist with snow and ice removal during winter weather
• Assist with equipment moves, installations, and facility improvement projects
• Identify and report building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or safety concerns
• Respond to facility maintenance requests in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and complete assigned work orders
• Safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment
• Follow Lockout/Tagout and other applicable safety procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized maintenance area
• Follow all company safety policies and facility regulations

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous building maintenance, facilities maintenance, janitorial, property maintenance, or industrial maintenance experience preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
• Ability to perform minor building and facility repairs
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools
• Ability to read and follow written work instructions and maintenance procedures
• Ability to prioritize and complete assigned work orders
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to safety and facility conditions
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors as required

• Previous building and grounds maintenance experience
• Facilities maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment

• Experience changing HVAC and ventilation filters

• Forklift experience or certification is a plus

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the facility
• Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, reach, push, and pull
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders as required
• Ability to frequently lift and move up to approximately 50 lbs
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
• Ability to work around manufacturing machinery and industrial equipment
