Position: Floor Technician FT
Location: Glenside

Accela Springfield Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Floor Technician to join our Environmental Services team. This is a full-time, 3-11 shift position for someone who takes pride in their work and understands that a clean, safe environment plays a huge role in resident comfort and care.

Schedule is 3P-11P shifts, rotating weekends.

Floor Technician

Key Responsibilities
  • Strip, wax, buff, and maintain all types of flooring (VCT, tile, carpet, etc.)
  • Operate floor care equipment including buffers, scrubbers, and extractors
  • Perform routine and deep-cleaning floor projects as scheduled
  • Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary conditions throughout the building
  • Follow proper chemical usage and safety procedures
  • Support the Environmental Services team with general cleaning duties as needed
  • Respond promptly to spills, safety hazards, and special requests
  • Interact respectfully with residents, families, and staff
Floor Technician Qualifications
  • Prior experience as a floor technician or in environmental services preferred
  • Knowledge of floor care equipment and cleaning chemicals
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
  • Ability to lift, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods
  • Dependable attendance and a positive attitude
