Floor Technician

Job Summary

Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and the operation of industrial floor care equipment at Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital, Pensacola, FL. The position is full‑time and requires a flexible schedule, including days, 7:00 am–3:30 pm or 3:00 pm–11:30 pm.

• Maintains knowledge of the principles of hard‑surface floor maintenance and uses proper procedures for hard floor care including stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
• Operates various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Utilizes automated equipment for cleaning large areas of floor surface.
• Uses proper procedures on carpet and upholstery, including shampooing, damp surface cleaning, extraction, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc.
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

• Previous experience as a floor‑care technician or in a related role preferred.
• Proven knowledge of floor‑care equipment and techniques required.
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 50 lbs.
