High School Campus Foreperson
The person is responsible for providing supervision and participates with a group of employees who are responsible for the day to day maintenance of buildings at a High School. In addition, the job oversees the day to day activities and events.
Essential duties and responsibilities generally include the following:
- Inspects school buildings and grounds on a daily basis for needed attention and/or repairs.
- Establishes and prioritizes maintenance repairs.
- Provides cost estimates of needed repairs or improvements.
- Prepares reports, processes requisitions, and orders materials.
- Collaborates with District Maintenance on preventive maintenance of the Facility.
- Emergency response to alarm calls.
- Hours are flexible, due to projects and activities.
- School liaison for contractors, vendors and inspectors.
- Responsible for initiating police report for vandalism on school campus.
- Supervises in the preparation of athletic fields, gymnasium facilities as needed.
- Supervision and coordination of after school events.
- Strives to promote the safety, health, and comfort of students, teachers, and staff.
- Participates in the selection of candidates for Day Facility Workers and Night Lead positions; performs annual and probationary employee evaluations with Administration.
- Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
Minimum qualifications:
a high school diploma or GED, AND at least two years' maintenance experience, preferable in a supervisory role or in a school setting, OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Other requirements:
Must possess or obtain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card. Must be able to pass a background clearance check. Ability to perform strenuous physical activity: lift items up to 50 lbs; push items up to 120 lbs. Ability to climb ladders and work from heights and within confined spaces. Ability to read, write and speak effectively. Must be able to work extended hours, which may include evenings and weekends.
Possess current Arizona driver's license, and maintain a good driving record. Ability to withstand exposure to various grasses, pollens, cleaning compounds, insecticides, etc. Ability to maintain positive working relationships with students, school personnel, and the public.
