Lead Custodian, Elementary School (Night)

Oversees and performs a variety of custodial duties to clean, maintain and secure assigned school facilities. Essential functions may include performing and/or leading the work unit, supervising entry level personnel, coordinating and scheduling tasks, training new custodial employees, cleaning, dusting, mopping, sanitizing, and performing minor maintenance repairs. Knowledge of custodial care methods, cleaning chemical preparation, leadership, and management is required. Skills in applying relevant statutes, training employees, cleaning, assigning work performance, and establishing effective working relations are necessary.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and two years of relevant custodial experience. Other requirements include obtaining an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card, passing a background clearance check, and maintaining a valid Arizona driver license. The position may require standing, stooping, bending, crawling, working overhead, lifting heavy items, operating cleaning equipment, working outside normal hours, and being available for emergency calls.

May require travel to perform work functions.
