Certifications:
Valid Arizona Class "D" Driver's license upon hire. Must pass a limited Police Department Background Check.
The City of Peoria has an excellent opportunity for a Facilities Porter. The purpose of this position is to perform custodial and minor maintenance tasks involving the operations and cleaning of City buildings. This is accomplished by cleaning shared spaces, cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, and other general labor work. Other duties may include completing related tasks as assigned.
Key Responsibilities- Performs work involving the custodial care of the interior and exterior of City buildings.
- Cleans, sanitizes and deodorizes City facilities and fixtures including jail cells and restrooms.
- Moves and arranges furniture and equipment, arranges rooms for meetings and special functions as requested.
- Locks and unlocks buildings at appropriate times a secures buildings.
- Performs preventative, general and semi-skilled maintenance and repairs on City buildings.
- Performs visual inspections on city buildings and equipment.
- Escorts vendors for access and monitoring throughout city facilities.
- Inputs, creates and assigns work orders.
