As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. You will support the day-to-day operations of the hospital by maintaining the physical plant, performing preventive maintenance, and responding to facility needs with efficiency and care.
Responsibilities- Perform a wide range of maintenance tasks, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs
- Conduct preventive maintenance and routine inspections of facility systems and equipment
- Support HVAC operations, including changing filters and maintaining system performance
- Maintain facility grounds to ensure a clean, safe, and professional appearance
- Operate and maintain emergency power systems
- Perform basic installation, repair, and testing of mechanical and electrical equipment
- Complete janitorial and facility support tasks as needed
- Follow proper safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures
- Handle hazardous and infectious materials in accordance with safety standards
- Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition
- Support infection control, OSHA regulations, and safety/risk management programs
- Respond to maintenance needs in a timely and organized manner
- Participate in facility-wide quality and performance improvement initiatives
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school training preferred.
Experience- Experience in building maintenance, mechanical systems, or a related field is required
- Experience operating hand and power tools with a strong focus on safety
- Knowledge of general building maintenance, basic mechanical systems, and safety standards
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and hospital staff
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond calmly in emergency situations

This is a full-time, non-exempt position with an expected hourly range of $24.00 to $28.00. Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
