Performance Expectations / Responsibilities

• l. Keep building and premises, including sidewalks, parking lot, and play areas, neat and clean at all times.
• 2. Take note of all situations which might be considered hazardous to the safety and well-being of students and staff.
• Correct the situation (if possible) and report the situation to immediate supervisor as soon as possible;
• 3. During inclement weather, shovel, blow, salt or put sand on walks and parking areas to promote the safety of students, staff, and patrons;
• 4. Strive constantly to promote the safety, health, and comfort of students and staff;
• 5. Display the United States flag in an appropriate manner;
• 6. When closing the building, determine (before leaving) that all doors and windows are secured and all lights, except those left on for security reasons, are turned off;
• 7. Check daily to ensure that all exit doors are working properly during the hours of building occupancy;
• 8. Clean, spot mop, and buff hallways;
• 9. Clean and mop classroom and restroom floors;
• 10. Sweep hallways and classrooms;
• 11. Check restrooms and clean / disinfect as needed;
• 12. Make sure tissue and paper towels arc available in all restrooms;
• 13. Keep the building and grounds free of debris;
• 14. Empty trash;
• 15. Set up gymnasium / all-purpose room for assemblies, sports events, and other activities;
• 16. Keep custodian closet clean and neat;
• 17. Perform such other duties as assigned by supervisor or building principal.
