Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Job Description
The Maintenance Supervisor oversees and leads the daily installation, repair and maintenance of the facility, property and equipment. This position provides leadership over the maintenance technician workforce in repairing, maintaining, cleaning, troubleshooting, and installing all equipment in the facility.

Duties and Responsibilities- Directs and leads a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, development, and performance feedback.
- Collaborates with maintenance planners and production leaders to develop and implement maintenance schedules, ensuring timely and effective execution of tasks by the Maintenance team.
- Ensures adherence to all safety regulations and procedures, including LOTO, QEW, Confined Space entry, Emergency Response, and general safety practices.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable rules and regulations.
- Manages performance by developing and maintaining a high-level team morale and dedication to serving customers; coaches, mentors, and trains team members, providing consistent performance feedback.
- Reviews, corrects, and approves timecards through Jack Link’s timekeeping tool to guarantee accurate pay for each pay period.
- Responsible for KPIs related to the maintenance department.
- Identifies and implements Continuous Improvement projects.
- Partners with Human Resources to manage staffing levels, supporting a 24/7 manufacturing facility and participating in recruitment and onboarding of new hires.
- Monitors all processes for optimal performance and reacts to deficiencies.
- Troubleshoots abnormal conditions of all equipment in the facility.
- Participates in the development of SOPs and other training and instructional documentation.
- Orders parts, tools, chemicals, and lubricants.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years of equipment maintenance in manufacturing, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and electronics; leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or Technical Degree in an applicable field
- Experience in meat processing and packaging plant
- Wastewater, water treatment, refrigeration, boiler, and/or engine/machine room experience
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and scheduling software
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Solid verbal and written communication skills; ability to work effectively at all levels of management and employees
- Demonstrated effective leadership, problem solving, presentation, and employee motivational skills
- Proficiency in Internet navigation, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Exceptional mechanical aptitude and facility maintenance skills
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics, and/or electrical/mechanical systems
- Ability to handle multiple day‑to‑day operations for Jack Links
- Proactive and results‑oriented style, ensuring project completion despite obstacles
- Collaborative team approach in all situations

The pay range for this role is $76,477 - $105,156 (Annual). Actual wage will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, and candidate skill set and experience. Base pay is just one component of Jack Link’s Total Rewards package for Team Members. Other rewards may include annual incentive and program‑specific awards.
