Maintenance Supervisor – 3rd Shift
Location:
Peru, Indiana
Salary: $80-100K plus bonus
Maintenance Supervisor OverviewAs the Maintenance Supervisor, your responsibility will be to manage and guide the maintenance crews in the setup, repair, and preemptive maintenance of key equipment throughout the facility, premises, utilities, and powerhouse. You will play a crucial role in maintaining operations, limiting downtime, and improving production efficiency. Your oversight of critical processes will help to keep product flow and production lines functioning at their best, supporting performance and the success of the facility.
Your leadership ensures that all equipment operates seamlessly, maintaining top-notch production levels.
- Direct teams of Maintenance Technicians and Electricians in anticipating and preventing maintenance needs, as well as equipment fixes.
- Manage and facilitate maintenance systems, procedures, and records to ensure optimal performance.
- Coordinate timely maintenance schedules in collaboration with Production to handle equipment and facility repairs. Design and execute efficient maintenance systems (Preventive and Predictive Maintenance, TPM, SOPs, Safety, etc.).
- Offer long-term solutions and daily support for investigating, analyzing problems, and addressing equipment malfunctions.
- Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track maintenance performance (e.g., supplier performance, contractor performance, equipment reliability, overall equipment effectiveness).
- Provide regular maintenance status updates to the management team.
- Ensure compliance of maintenance tasks with USDA regulations.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and inventory documentation.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Engineering or a relevant field, along with 2+ years of related experience, or equivalent education and experience combination.
- Experience leading by providing training, coaching, or mentoring to less experienced staff, or overseeing processes or projects.
- Ability to direct problem-solving and troubleshooting efforts for complex process issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Potential for extensive work hours and weekend shifts.
- Advanced technical skills in ammonia refrigeration, high pressure boiler, compressed air, mechanical and electrical fields, and the ability to lead resource planning in a large manufacturing setting, are desirable.
- Thorough knowledge of maintenance systems, work order processes, preventive/predictive maintenance, TPM, inventory, and scheduling software, is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills such as conflict resolution, facilitation, change management, decision-making, empowerment, and delegation, are advantageous.
- Effective planning and priority setting capabilities.
- Ability to collaborate well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Respectful, approachable, and team-oriented, fostering positive relationships and work environment.
- Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
