Position Summary
This position is responsible for mixing and serving of beverages, while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees and guests. Ensure compliance with Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) regulations and all applicable laws, policies, and procedures. Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, this role positively contributes to an entrepreneurial culture that is nimble, energized, growth oriented, to self-motivate and lead by example.
Above all else, must be aligned with, and promote, Shorelines Casinos culture and philosophy of creating a great, memorable experience for our guests and colleagues.
Primary Responsibilities
Exceeds guest expectations by providing outstanding customer serviceHelps create an engaged work environment by choosing positivity and fun, recognizing excellent peer performance, and by caring about and supporting our colleagues every dayParticipates in the implementation of the departmental strategic plansInforms guests of any daily specialsSelling food and beverage with an upbeat and positive attitudeTakes guests orders and makes recommendationsPrepares beveragesServes the guests and checks to ensure satisfactionResolves guests issues or asks for management assistance if requiredPresents bills upon request and takes paymentsCleans tables or counters and re-stocks bar when requiredCovers other bartender’s sections if requiredLiaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departmentsEnsures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulationsContributes toward workplace health, safety, and wellness initiativesContributes to a team of engaged colleagues who care passionately about the business, site operations, and delivering a great guest experienceAnticipates operational and service issues before they escalate, trouble-shoots and resolves guest concerns before they are complaints.Performs other duties as assigned or directed and assist other co-workers as neededEducation & Qualification Requirements
