Part time Bartender-PET

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position is responsible for mixing and serving of beverages, while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees and guests. Ensure compliance with Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) regulations and all applicable laws, policies, and procedures. Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, this role positively contributes to an entrepreneurial culture that is nimble, energized, growth oriented, to self-motivate and lead by example.

• Exceeds guest expectations by providing outstanding customer service.

• Participates in the implementation of the departmental strategic plans.
• Informs guests of any daily specials.
• Selling food and beverage with an upbeat and positive attitude.
• Takes guests orders and makes recommendations.
• Prepares beverages.
• Serves the guests and checks to ensure satisfaction.
• Resolves guests issues or asks for management assistance if required.
• Presents bills upon request and takes payments.
• Cleans tables or counters and re-stocks bar when required.
• Covers other bartender’s sections if required.
• Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments.
• Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations.
• Contributes toward workplace health, safety, and wellness initiatives.
• Contributes to a team of engaged colleagues who care passionately about the business, site operations, and delivering a great guest experience.
• Anticipates operational and service issues before they escalate, troubleshoots and resolves guest concerns before they become complaints.
• Performs other duties as assigned or directed and assists other co‑workers as needed.

• Bartending and serving experience preferred.
• Customer service experience.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift 30 lbs.
• Previous P.O.S. experience an asset.
• Smart Serve certification.
• Ability to obtain and maintain registration as a Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.

Regular casino environment, standing or walking for long periods of time, non-traditional work hours.
