Building Maintenance, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, General Labor
The Building Maintenance Associate is responsible for operating a single‑axle truck to transport and deliver materials, supplies, and equipment to company stores and corporate locations. This role is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and organizing inventory within the warehouse while maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly warehouse environment and ensuring company equipment is properly maintained. In addition, the Building Maintenance Associate provides support to Building Maintenance Technicians by assisting with maintenance projects, repairs, and other departmental tasks as needed.
Location:
1000 Weis Remote Road
- Maintain and safely operate company owned equipment used in the department, i.e. material handling equipment, tools, systems, vehicles, etc.
- Work with other departments and stakeholders regarding surplus assets needs in the construction of new stores, remodels, and expansions.
- Fulfill work order requests for the pickup and delivery of surplus equipment.
- Perform assigned work to completion, or as instructed.
- Conduct oneself according to company policies, standards, and criteria.
- Assist Building Maintenance Technicians when needed.
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS- Education and/or Experience
:
High school diploma or GED plus first‑hand knowledge of the construction trades. Requires computer skills, Microsoft Outlook and Service Now Call Tracking system with basic operations of iPhone and iPad knowledge. - Language Skills
:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public; ability to read, write, and speak English fluently. - Mathematical Skills
:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
