DESCRIPTIONOF WORK
This position supports safe and dependable roadways by performing manual labor and maintenance tasks. The role focuses on keeping highway surfaces, drainage areas, and roadside features in good working condition. As a Highway Maintenance Worker, you will perform the following duties:
- Surface Repair:
Perform patching, cleaning, and leveling of damaged highway areas - Traffic Control:
Set up work zone signs, place cones, and use communication tools to guide traffic - Drainage Work:
Dig ditches, clear culverts, and fill washouts to maintain water flow - Tool Handling:
Load and unload tools and use equipment such as mowers, shovels, and trimmers - Facility Upkeep:
Complete housekeeping tasks to maintain compliance with environmental requirements - Winter Support:
Assist with building maintenance and help remove snow from parking areas and walkways
- Seasonal, full-time employment from September 2026 to April 2027
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Schedule may be subject to change due to seasonal or operational needs.
- Travel may be required.
