DESCRIPTION OF WORKThis position focuses on preparing, portioning, delivering, and storing food items that support daily living at the Selinsgrove Center. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and organized food service operation across multiple work areas.
- Food Preparation:
Prepare simple food and beverage items and assist with cutting and organizing ingredients - Meal Assembly:
Portion foods, place service wares, and check trays for accuracy during active tray line operations - Sanitation Work:
Clean and sanitize dishes, equipment, and work areas using approved procedures and chemicals - Storage Tasks:
Organize, label, and store food items using proper rotation methods and temperature checks - Equipment Handling:
Use kitchen tools, carts, and electrical food service equipment safely and correctly - Delivery Support:
Load, deliver, and return food carts and supplies to assigned areas

Work Schedule and Additional Information:- Part-time employment, 20 hours per week
- Work hours are 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. You will work a rotating schedule with every third weekend off.

Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
