Maintenance Technician

The Salvation Army is hiring for a Maintenance Technician position. The role is available ASAP and the schedule is Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm. The Maintenance Technician reports to the Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Manager, and Housing and Project Coordinator. The salary is $18 per hour.

Responsibilities

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the overall cleanliness and condition of Booth Manor I and II. This will include a daily routine cleaning schedule of all common areas, trash removal, inspection of units/property, complete work orders, painting, preventative maintenance and care and upkeep. This position will also require you to travel to Ivy Residence, our sister site, 1-2 times a week, or when necessary.

Qualifications

Requirements include experience in multifamily maintenance and experience involving affordable housing, senior housing, or special needs housing. Must be able to keep information in a confidential and secure fashion. Must have a high school diploma or GED and at least two years building maintenance experience. Must be a self-starter who can work in an environment with multiple changing work priorities. Good verbal and writing communication skills.

Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army. Child Protection Clearances PA Act 153 requires that all prospective employees complete the following clearance and background checks: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check.
